The Avatar Arrives in Pediatric Care in Miami

First implementation of the #VisualPatientAvatar in a children’s hospital in the United States 🇺🇸 This week, we introduced the Visual Patient Avatar at Nicklaus Children's Health System in Miami, FL. ☀️🍊🌴 What impressed me most was something I did not expect in this form: The clinicians immediately saw how the technology connects with children. It doesn’t just display data. It engages. It entertains. It creates a connection. We have seen signals of this before in our previous work, but experiencing it firsthand in a pediatric setting gave it a completely new depth. When children engage, the whole room changes. This reinforced something fundamental: Visualisation is not only about improving #situationawareness and #patientsafety, it can also improve how patients, families, and clinicians relate to what is happening.
