💡A special milestone for the #Philips #VisualPatientAvatar: for the very first time, an independent team has published a systematic review of this technology, developed at the Institute of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine, Universitätsspital Zürich. My sincere thanks to our colleagues from Sapienza Università di Roma (Alessio Tramontana, Massimiliano Rulli, Andrea Falegnami, Federico Bilotta) for carefully reviewing the available studies – and to Max Ebensperger for spotting this publication. 🙏 The review shows that the current evidence – so far mostly from our group – points to potential benefits in perceiving vital signs more intuitively, reducing cognitive workload, and supporting decision-making in anesthesia. We are grateful for this independent perspective and look forward to seeing more groups advance avatar-based monitoring in both scientific research and clinical practice. ✨🌱🌍 https://lnkd.in/eFXP3BxX Visual avatar to increase situational awareness in anaesthesia: Systematic review of recent evidence.
